Webmaster's Note

in response to comments from site-visitors that the information presented here is well out-of-date.

This is true. The material on this site is considerably out-of-date, and although it presents an accurate description of the general operations, does not reflect the current status of Walking on Air.

In particular, apologies are offered to any persons who have donated or contributed in any way, and are not mentioned on the contributors' page.

Having visited Portmoak Airfield regularly, I can confirm that the WoA operation is still very much active, and has acquired new equipment and members.

However, despite repeated approaches to the operators of WoA for accurate and authoritative infomation on current flying statistics, donation amounts, expeditions, publicity-events, equipment purchases, etc. no new material has been put forward for inclusion into the website. This 'silence' has continued for a period of at least two years, since a change in the management-structure.

As I have pointed-out, without accurate information, any update to the site would have to based on guesswork or "bar-talk" and might cause offense to supporters of the charity, for example by making inaccurate statements about donations or work done. Therefore I am not prepared to make updates to the site on the basis of pure guesswork or hearsay.

I do not fully understand the reasons for this ongoing situation.

The site is (or was!) maintained by myself at no charge to WoA, and has always been provided as a free service.
